2011 Perth Marathon Wedding of Zita and Rob in South Perth
Zita and Rob are both keen runners who surprised their family and friends with a Wedding while they where running the 42km Perth Marathon. Years ago their first date was a climb of Bluff knoll so it was fitting they would be married during a Marathon.
38 Km’s into their run the energetic couple did a quick detour off the running track at Sir James Mitchell Park and we performed their fun and relaxed wedding in front of their surprised family and friends.
Rob was walked down the aisle by their 2 children and then Zita followed being escorted by her father.
Zita wore a beautiful running wedding dress that had been especially chosen for today. Rob ran in his lycra pants with his vest and looked the part during the wedding with a fantastic top hat.
It was such an interesting story that Channel 10 news and The West Australian Newspaper where there to cover the wonderful event.
After the Wedding Rob and Zita completed the rest of the Marathon and Rob was able to carry Zita his wife over the finish line at Burswood. As you can see from the above photo the photographer from Absolute and Alive was there to catch the special moment.
They then joined their family and friends for a Wedding Celebration at the Holiday Inn (and possibly some hydration…)
