Marriage Celebrant Reforms by Perth Wedding Celebrant

Here is a summary of an email that came from Beth O’brien, Director, Australian Celebrations Training about the Marriage Celebrants reform program:

At the federal budget in July the Australian Government announced some reforms to the Marriage Celebrant program and notably introducing the Marriage Celebrant fee.

The Attorney General’s department have now announced the up-coming meetings that will be held in each state and territories.  The departmental staff will consult with local celebrants on the pending reforms to the Marriage Celebrants program.

If you are interested in attending one of the sessions you can follow their webpage of the AG’s department for upcoming dates and venues. They will begin in October in Melbourne but I am sure they will be announced in areas such as Perth quite soon.

If you cannot attend one of these forums you can still write to the AG’s department about any of your concerns, thoughts or feedback to
