Review of some amazing Perth Venues for your Wedding
Choosing where to have your Wedding Ceremony in Perth is so difficult as we have some amazing Wedding Venues to choose from…
I am often asked by upcoming marrying couples to recommend some venues to hold a Wedding Ceremony. As a Wedding Celebrant I have performed well over 1000 weddings in Perth and find it so hard as we have some many fine venues to choose from. There is no one true answer as you may have a special place that might mean something to you. Did you get engaged there? Was it where you had your first kiss? Or is the food spectacular there you have no other choice….
There are many venues you can choose such as a Beach, Private Venue such as Caversham House, Park, Garden, Swan Valley Winery or even a space next to the beautiful Swan River.
In this article I highlight a few venues that have stood out to me over the last few years as a Perth Wedding Celebrant and I may be able to help you find that perfect place for your Perth wedding ceremony.
Wedding Ceremony in a tranquil Park or Garden:
For your perfect wedding ceremony, Perth has many beautiful parks and gardens that can be chosen: oh the serenity. With luscious greenery, ponds and magnificant waterfalls or even a gazebo you have much to choose from.
Many of these are managed by local councils or government authorities and it is best to seek a booking through them well in advance of your wedding day. Also keep in mind the amount of parking and toilet facilities.
Some of my favourites include:
- Kings Park, Perth
- Heathcote reserve, Applecross
- Queens Gardens, East Perth
- Swan Shell, Burswood Park (not able to be booked as is under construction until 2014)
- Harold Boas Gardens, West Perth
- Sir James McCusker Park, Iluka
- Cottesloe Civic Gardens
The sand between your toes at a Perth Beach Wedding Ceremony:
There are some beautiful beaches on the West Coast of Australia and Perth has a few to choose from for your wedding. With lovely soft sand and not too rough conditions you can choose a morning, afternoon or even an amazing sunset beach wedding.
Most of the beaches are managed by local council or government authorities so once again contact them for a booking well in advance of the wedding date.
Being one of the youngest Celebrants in Perth I really enjoy Beach weddings and some of the beaches that have stood out to me as a Perth Wedding Celebrant are:
- Burns Beach
- Iluka Beach Pergola
- Iluka Beach (boardwalk end)
- Cottesloe and North Cottesloe Beaches
- Trigg Island Beach
- Point Walter Reserve, Bicton
- Sorrento Beach Foreshore Park, Hillarys
- The Basin and Geordie Bay, Rottnest Island
Private Venues that you may like for your Wedding:
As Perth is such a diverse city there are many different Private Venues. These venues cater for all types of couples and budgets so you will definitely be able to find a venue that suits your tastes.
It is a highlight of my day to turn up to some Wedding Venues and I have included a few:
- Caversham House, Caversham
- Mulberry on Swan, Caversham
- Joondalup Resort, Connolly
- Wanneroo Botanic Gardens, Wanneroo
- The Vines Novotel Resort Swan Valley
- Belvoir Homestead, Swan Valley
- Bridgeleigh Reception Centre, Wanneroo
- Villa Pourzand, Cottesloe
- Peel Manor House, Karnup
- Gershwins, Perth Hyatt Hotel
Spectacular Swan Valley Wineries for your Wedding:
Over the last few years some of the top wineries in Perth have started to branch out and offer their wonderful venues for Weddings. The venues have magnificant gardens that you can use for your wedding ceremony followed by some wonderful photos and an amazing celebration in their restaurants.
The Swan Valley wineries are only 20 minutes from Perth CBD and I have loved performing weddings at some of the below wineries:
- Upper Reach Winery
- Sittella Winery
- Sandalford Estate Winery
- Black Swan Winery
- Laughin’ Barrel Estate Winery
So many to choose from for your Perth Wedding:
I have to apologise for giving you so many Perth Wedding venues to choose from but Perth is a wonderful and diverse city that has been able to put together some amazing venues to choose from. The list is by no means exhaustive and I am sure I could add many more venues to the list.
To make it easier go and have a good look at the venue for yourself and do some proper research and you will come up with a venue for your wedding that suits you. Happy Wedding Planning.
