Including the engagement ring in your Wedding Ceremony by Perth Celebrant
From the moment the question was popped and the engagement ring was placed on the prospective bride’s finger all the world knew that a wedding was fast approaching.
The planning of a marriage may have been over a short or longer period but the engagement ring shows the intention that you are getting married to some lucky bloke.
As the bride has been wearing the engagement ring it would be a wonderful moment to include the placing of this ring next to the wedding ring during the ceremony.
Once the couple have exchanged their wedding rings, the marriage celebrant can ask the groom to place the engagement ring next to the wedding ring on his brides hand.
Here is an example of some of the words that can be spoken as the groom places the engagement ring next to the wedding ring:
“The engagement ring is a symbol of a promise and intention. Now today, the intention is realised and the promise is fulfilled. So Mr Groom, would you please place the engagement ring on your bride’s finger over the her wedding band, symbolising that the love that brought you together that will protect and sustain you.”
If you like the idea of including this small but meaningful ritual in your Perth Wedding Ceremony please let me know and I can write this into your Marriage Ceremony.
