Persian Wedding Ceremony at Caversham house
Hi Brad,
Thank you so much for everything, it was a lovely day, everything went well from start to finish.
It was a pleasure having you as our celebrant and you made everything so easy and stress free for us.
Everyone thought the ceremony was beautiful and I think you did a great job with the Persian ceremony as well.
Best of wishes to you in the new year 🙂
Mariam and Arash, Caversham House Wedding Ceremony. Dec 2013
The Persian Ceremony consists of a table which is laden with a spread or “Sofreh Aghd” which contains many symbolic items for the couple.
After the legal part of the ceremony has been completed, we adjourn to the spread and the bride and groom sit behind the table.
On the table will be filled with items of significance such as Mirrors, Candelabras, Nuts, eggs, Bread, fruit, honey, rose water, seeds and a Quran.
Some friends will put a silk clothe over the couple and grind some cones.
This symbolises sweetness and happiness.
