Point Walter Reserve Winter Wedding in Perth
Recently I thoroughly enjoyed being the celebrant for Pru and Rob for their winter wedding at Point Walter Reserve in Bicton.
Was touched when I got this wonderful thank you note from them:
Just wanted to say thank you for all your help and support for our wedding day. Despite, unintentionally arriving late, it was perfect and exceeded all of our dreams.
Thanks for sending through the application form, please find attached a couple of pics from our wedding day as a reminder of how much it meant to us that you officiated our marriage.
Kind regards, Prue & Rob”
It was a cool winter morning in Perth and Rob and Prue had chosen the June long weekend so their many family and friends could travel from over east. The Monument at the Point Walter reserve was the chosen spot with a wonderful backdrop of the Swan River. They enjoyed a funny wedding ceremony where the stars where the bride and groom as their vows where quite funny.
I promise to post all your fishing photos on social media and create cool hashtags
I promise I might occasionally do the dishes
I promise to support all your ideas and inventions
I promise I’ll love you no matter what.
What does marriage meant to Pru and Rob: They both believe that when you find someone wonderful you should share your lives forever. Loving each other through life’s adventures and always being a team.
The love story: in 2008 they met through friends. Their first date consisted of a stack of pancakes and Rob noticing how beautiful Prue was and Pru loved listening to Rob’s voice…
Very soon a strong bond was formed and they realised they couldn’t live without each other. And the fact that Prue and Rob both had a passion for adventure didn’t hurt.
Prue loves that Rob is kind and compassionate, intelligent, adventurous and funny. She loves that Rob always thinks outside the box.
Rob loves that Prue is caring and understanding, yet beautiful and funny. He thinks that she is an amazing person and when you meet someone like Prue you never want to let them go.
Their lives have been full of fun and adventure including a yearlong backpacking trip in 2014 with Rob proposing at Fern Pool in the Karijini National park. Rob was about to propose when a group of kids came running up and began doing bommies…. The moment was spoilt. The next day they were at the Hammersley Gorge. It was relatively quiet with only a school of fish as spectators so Rob asked Pru to make him the happiest man in the world by being his wife.
After their Wedding Ceremony in Perth, they enjoyed the surrounds of the Point Walter reserve while mingling with their guests and photos. Later they made their way to the Old Brewery next to the Swan River for the reception.
